Take Time

Have you ever thought about
The things that children can see?
Ever wondered what they think
When they look at you or me?
Did you ever take the time
To find out how they felt?
Ever take the time to ask
What to them the day had dealt?
Do they have good reasons to trust
Their feeling and beliefs with you?
Do they feel safe within your home
And know you to always be true?
Do you set the time aside
To spend with only them?
Do you try to be their parent
Instead of just a friend?
